Hey all! Just wanted to give a quick update on Brian's condition... We went to the Dr. yesterday and he checked out Brian's leg. He informed us that everything is healing up nicely and he decided that it was time to take the stitches out of Brian's leg and foot... Yay!! :)
Being that the doctors are keeping a watch on the wound on Brian's foot, they are currently reusing the shell of the cast that Brian had put on in the hospital in Austria... Therefore, each time he goes in for his appointment, they change the bandages on Brian's leg and foot, they replace the cast, and they then wrap it up in a colorful Ace bandage... After the first appointment, they wrapped it in blue; however, this time they wrapped it up in green... Which makes me quite happy as it looks like Brian has alot of Spartan spirit... Go State! :) Although, in Brian's opinion, it looks like he's supporting the Iranian Green Party Revolution. :) (I think we'll just stick with the idea that he's a HUGE Michigan State fan! :))
Brian's just happy about the fact that they're reusing the shell of his cast, because this way it's removable... This way he has the opportunity to take it off at times to let his leg breath, making it a "little" more comfortable during the hot summer months.
By the looks of things, Brian's leg is healing according to schedule. Which, in Brian's opinion, is a much slower schedule than he would like. :) As of today, we're 2 weeks down, so there's only 4 -5 more weeks left (hopefully!) for Brian to wear the cast... Let's keep our fingers crossed that things continue to heal according to schedule. :) We'll continue to keep you posted on his recovery... Have a great Saturday! Miss you much!
