Amsterdam... The Second Time Around

After our first trip to Amsterdam last year, we said that we definitely wanted to go back again before we moved back to the U.S. So, when the opportunity presented itself, we happily agreed to go. :) So, we headed back to Amsterdam for our second time around... And, once again, the city charmed us with its uniqueness! :)

We love the unique and laid back atmosphere that you can find in Amsterdam... Plus, we're always charmed by its many canal houses, wooden shoes, bicycles, museums, the Red Light District, canals and bridges, friendly people, beautiful parks, flower markets, international cuisine... And the list could go on and on! :) Amsterdam has somehow managed to cast its spell over us! :) Thus, we are very much looking forward to the next time we can go back to visit!!

Amsterdam at night...

We didn't let a little bit of rain deter us from a day of sightseeing through our favorite city! :)

Kinga and Maciej enjoying their first trip to Amsterdam...

Lots and lots of cheese! :)

Look at all the tulip bulbs!!
And, yes, we purchased some to bring back with us to the States... This way, we'll always have a little bit of Amsterdam with us! :)

I love all the flowers that can be found at the Bloemenmarkt! :)

This takes some skill! Holding an umbrella while riding a bike! :)

Brian and Maciej drying off and warming up...
We ducked out of the rain for a bit to warm up with a coffee...

One of the many bicycle highways to be found throughout the city!

I (heart) canal houses! :)

We stopped to watch this crazy game of chess being played! :)

Typical Amsterdam...

We "tried on" some wooden shoes! :)

Dinner and drinks at an Irish Pub (go figure! :)) after a very rainy day of sightseeing...

The following morning (the day that we had to leave), we woke up to blue skies and sunshine... Go figure! :) So, we took advantage of the weather and held a mini photo shoot with Amsterdam as our backdrop... :)

Aww... True love! :)
